earthquake

at 1:50 today a magnitude 5.9 earthquake hit virginia with tremors being felt from ny to massachussetts, ohio, tennessee and the carolinas. the quake interrupted a press conference that was about to be held announcing the dismissal of charges against dominique strauss-kahn. the pentagon was being evacuated as a safety precaution. so far no reports of any injuries.
