there is no excuse to abuse animals ever!!!!!!!!!!!!! no matter the circumstance.  today the cops and animal rescue were called on the couple who lives on the end of my street. they had been beating and whipping their boxer dog with a belt.  this poor dog is left out in all kinds of weather with no food or water. the cops and humane society has been called many many times and yet this couple still retains ownership of the dog. according to officers- animals are not people but "property". how sad is that. this animal  has no one to protect and defend it and now also has no rights unless it lay bloody and beaten on the ground. what a ridiculous law. truly ridiculous
